Go Healthcare Staffing’s Recruitment Process: What Clinicians Can Expect

If you’re a travel nurse or allied health professional considering a new assignment, you might be wondering what the recruitment process looks like with Go Healthcare Staffing. We’re here to make it simple, transparent, and efficient—because your time matters, and so does your career.

Here’s a step-by-step look at Go Healthcare Staffing’s clinician recruitment and onboarding process—from first contact to assignment start.

Step 1: Initial Contact by Your Dedicated Recruiter
Your journey begins with a personalized connection. A Go Healthcare Staffing recruiter will reach out to you directly to understand your goals, preferences, and experience.

Step 2: Understanding Your Skills and Career Goals
The recruiter will assess your clinical skill set, job preferences, and career aspirations. All information is entered into our secure Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for easy reference and efficiency throughout the process.

Step 3: Building Your Clinician Profile
Your recruiter creates a comprehensive profile, including your resume, application, completed skills assessments, and professional references. This becomes the foundation for matching you with the right assignments.

Step 4: Reference and Skills Verification
At least two satisfactory references and a completed skills assessment are required.
✅ If received: We move forward.
❌ If not: Placement cannot continue.

Step 5: License and Certification Verification
We verify your active licenses and required certifications.
✅ Verified: We proceed.
❌ Not verified: Clinical leadership will evaluate next steps.

Step 6: Finalizing the Profile
With everything in place—work history, skills checklist, references, licenses, and certifications—your profile is complete and ready for job matching.

Step 7–9: Job Matching & Submission
Your recruiter explores ideal job matches that align with your qualifications and preferences. Once the best opportunities are identified, your profile is submitted to the appropriate facilities via our Contingent Talent Management (CTM) Portal.

Step 10: Facility Interview
If a facility is interested, a phone interview is scheduled.
✅ Offer made: We proceed.
❌ No offer: We return to job matching (Step 7).

Step 11–12: Offer & Work Agreement
When you receive a job offer, your recruiter reviews the details with you. Once accepted, a work agreement is sent to both you and the client facility, and the status is documented in the CTM.

Step 13: Onboarding Packet Sent
You’ll receive the Go Healthcare Staffing Onboarding Packet, which includes:
• Drug screen and background check forms
• Employee handbook
• Employment and tax forms
• Competency exams
• Health and immunization forms

Steps 14–16: Compliance Checks
To ensure you meet all facility and state requirements:
✅ Clear background check
✅ Negative drug screen results
✅ Completed compliance documents
✅ Competency exams passed (80% or higher)
If any requirement isn’t met, management will evaluate the appropriate next steps.

Step 17: Compliance Cleared
Once all requirements are met, you’re officially cleared to start by our Compliance Team. Your completed file is sent to the client facility.

Step 18–19: Final Prep & Assignment Start
An Account Manager confirms your start date and orientation details with the facility. Then it’s go time—you begin your new assignment with confidence, knowing Go Healthcare Staffing has your back every step of the way.
